The project was developed by a partnership among: El Instituto de Asuntos Culturales, Spain (IACE), Empower Training & Development, Ltd., United Kingdom and Sembrar-Darkness to Light, Peru.

The aim of the project was to raise awareness and train local authorities, teachers, parents, health workers and social workers to know how to prevent child abuse and violence, and to encourage them to carry the project forward locally in ways they saw appropriate. The project covered 4 regions of Peru: Cuzco, Apurimac, Arequipa, Cajamarca (Jaen and San Ignacio).
